Infection Preventionist
Montevideo MN
The Infection Preventionist (IP) is responsible for the oversight and management of the infection control and antibiotic stewardship programs at Luther Haven. This position reports to the DON. They, along with nursing leadership, work to provide high quality care to our residents.  This position will also oversee employee health and staff education for nursing and other departments as necessary.

Responsibilities:
  • Track and trend all infections. Review data and create necessary reports
  • Oversees the antibiotic stewardship program
  • Assist with wound care documentation
  • Maintain required documentation/records/forms
  • Maintains effective communication with residents, families, employees, and providers
  • Helps with data collection, assessments, audits, and surveillance
  • Assist with QAPI and quality improvement projects
  • Provide staff education to employees regarding infection control and other topics
  • Attend nursing department meetings and other meetings as necessary
  • Review and update necessary policies and procedures
  • Is part of an on-call rotation with other nursing leadership members
  • Administers and maintains vaccine documentation (e.g. Mantoux, Covid) on residents and employees
  • Assists with compliance of Covid policies and procedures
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
  • Minnesota RN License
  • Experience in Infection Control preferred, but not required
  • Must be able to complete and pass a background check

Home Care Aide

Luther Haven is looking for a person to fill the part time night shift as a Home Care Aide for our 20 unit Assisted Living facility, Copper Glen.  No certification needed...training will be provided. It is working with the elderly doing some daily cares and activities.

Luther Haven is seeking a part-time Activity Assistant interested in working at our campus.  The Activity Assistant assists the Activity Director in planning, organizing, developing, and directing quality activities for residents.  Looking for an energetic, self-starter with good communication skills who also enjoys people, music, crafts and has computer skills.
